English 6th
Good morning sixth graders. Today we will learn about adverbs (adverbit). Adverbs modify the word, expressing how something is done. Adverbs can (most of the time!) be created from adjectives by adding -ly suffix (-ly in the end of and adjective). For example: slow --> slowly = hidas --> hitaasti. 
The usage of adverbs is explained more in detail on page 149 in your Writers.
Today's tasks: 
1. Read through Start-chapter The Global music awards on page 81 in your Reader. 
2. Do the start exercises from your Writers that are on page 146.
3. Return the answers of this Adjective or adverb exercise.pdf exercise to the return box below. The first answer is given to you as an example. You have time to return the answers until Wednesday. 

Maths 6th
Today you'll get to use the calculator to calculate decimals. On page 152 you havet chapter 38 - Multiplying decimals using calculator. The only thing to remember in these exercises is to round up the number so that you'll have one decimal. So if you'll get an answer like: 4,333333333... you can simply round it up to 4,3. Remember: if the number is 5 or more it rounds up to the next number, otherwise it will stay the same. For example:

6,26 = 6,3 (because six raises number two up one digit)
7,71 = 7,7 (because one is less than five we round it, so that the number stays the same) 
In other words, we never round anything down! Muistakaa että pyöristettäessä luku ei koskaan siis pienene!
