Workshop 6 - Pedanet - R Bell, M-L Salonurmi, A Michael

Pedanet in English

In this workshop, our online-editors from different partner schools will write an overview for our web pages about the work being done and the results of the workshops.

Editors will work in pairs that consist of two students from two different countries. Every pair will be responsible for one workshop. They’ll follow the workshop and present its work online in reports with pictures.

In addition, all pairs will write short reports about people attending the meeting. These people can be students, coordinators, workshop leaders or head teachers.

It would be great if the online editors could take their own cameras or smart phones (with wires/cables needed) to England. They can also use their own Notebooks but school will provide them with computers as well.

My Pedanet experience...

During this workshop, our main objective was to create webpages that display our time on the Comenius project. Something that I particularly liked was interviewing the German head teacher, where I learnt about what his thoughts were on what makes a good school and the importance of respect and having a friendly atmosphere for students, parents and teachers. I have very much enjoyed this workshop as I have a love for writing and I found it extremely interesting to be able to have a closer look into all the other student’s workshops such as the difference in school meals and the Wellbeing of students. Making the actual website has been entertaining and educational, I have learnt many new computer and photography skills also I have met some lovely people who have given me an insight into their school life in their home countries. -Izzy

-Mahmoud

In this workshop we worked with the computers to put information in Pedanet about the other workshops, head teachers and from spare time. I interviewed the Hungarian head teacher and with wided we interviewed Barbara, Lasse and Christoph and took some photos from the workshops. We then added and adjusted the information and pictures on pedanet -Matias

At first I have written a short report about our trip to England, about my first day with my host family and what we did tonight. Today I have made an interview with the Polish headmaster (Agata Gutorska) with my friend Cintia. After that I went with Matias to take photos of the workshops that we had chosen before .We interviewed the teachers of schoolourful (Barbara Abai) and self-respect (Lasse Alinen and Christoph Martino). In schoolourful workshop they are trying to shape well-being through colors. In Self-respect workshop they are trying to find out what is the meaning of self-respect. -Wided

At first, I made a text about my trip – ‘Polish arrival with obstacles’. It’s about problems with arriving to England. Later, we shared job between us. Because of this I made an interview with Finnish headmaster about his school, customs etc. Than me and my partner Cintia went to visit workshop called ‘A trip into the unknown’. It’s a really interesting workshop about students in different periods of time. I think that at the day after tomorrow we’re going to write about our trip to Liverpool. -Ewa

This workshop has consisted of taking pictures of what is happening in other workshops, Interviewing Students and Staff and uploading this onto pedanet. I have enjoyed taking part in this workshop as I have been able to work with new people and visit all the other different workshops and see what they have been doing. I have also gained new computer skills when uploading photos and text onto pedanet. I particularly enjoyed interviewing the head teacher of Germany and the students in the workshop.

-Jess

In this workshop I finished my exercise and after that the headmasters wrote a survey about his/her school, customs etc. I took a picture of the headmaster and we did an interview. After that I uploaded this survey on the internet. Me and Ewa did an interview of the 3. Workshop called ‘trip into the unknown’ and took pictures here, too. I really enjoyed this day because I could talked to other people. We could see that what they have been doing in the other workshops. I think that it was a great day too. -Cintia
