Our recommendations for one day's healthy diet

*Notice that the word 'diet' does not refer to trying to lose weight in this context! DIET = RUOKAVALIO

1) First find out more about healthy food and the nutritional content of different types of foods by reading the articles below (click links) - take notes in your notebooks!  DIVIDE TASKS WITH YOUR PARTNER: DECIDE EACH OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES!

2) Create a poster (A3) where you suggest healthy options for each five meals of the day and explain why one should eat those particular foods!

1. Breakfast: WHAT (+ how many/much) + WHY ( = which vitamins and nutrients do you get?)
2. Lunch: WHAT (+ how many/much) + WHY ( = which vitamins and nutrients do you get?)
3. Snack: WHAT (+ how many/much) + WHY ( = which vitamins and nutrients do you get?)
4. Dinner: WHAT (+ how many/much) + WHY ( = which vitamins and nutrients do you get?)
5. Evening meal /supper: WHAT (+ how many/much) + WHY ( = which vitamins and nutrients do you get?)

3) Find max. 4 pictures to be included in your poster. Copy paste them here DURING TUESDAY'S LESSON SO THAT THE TEACHER CAN PRINT THEM OUT FOR YOU FOR FRIDAY.
