Hi, my name is Eliška Mallá and I’m 21 years old. I come from a small town in the Czech Republic called Mariánské Lázně but I study in Pilsen at the West Bohemia University, so I spend the most of my time there. My branch is teaching for low primary school (so I’ll teach children 6 – 10 years old) and now I’m in the second year.

Since my 15 years I’m a leader of afterschool activities for children – e.g. art and ceramic course or moving activities. I was a scout girl and later also scout leader. Thanks to my “scout life” I’ve started playing guitar, learned a lot of things about nature and surviving in it and got many nice memories.

I love good food and cooking (I’ve found there a lot of new recipes – your food is so delicious!!), jogging and walking in countryside (your countryside is so beautiful!!) and reading books – fantasy, sci-fi, books about traveling, dystopia stories, detective stories, psychology stories… My favourite writers are J. K. Rowling and Czech writer Zdena Frýbová. I also like watching movies, chatting with friends and listening to (heavy and rock) music. Of course, I like a lot of music from Finland and other countries, but if you would like to listen some of Czech, my favourite are for example these – Divokej Bill, Krucipüsk, Cocotte Minute, Arakain, Dymytry, Wanastowi Vjecy, Lucie, P.U.M…

I’ve always wished to visit at least one of the Northern countries. When I got an offer to visit your school, I thought about it a lot because I have never been alone in any foreign country and for such a long time like this. But in the end, I decided to send my CV, because it was a big chance for me to see your (the best) school system and get new experiences. I should say that it was (I mean staying in Finland and at your school) the biggest experiences in my life!! And not just because of my future job, but for my future life, too. I’m really glad that I could be there, meet all of you, see and understand your school system and familiarize with your culture. Kiitos kaikesta!! :)
