Lecture 5 Educational change

Lecture 5 Educational change

Lecture 5 starts introducing the views of the Handbook of Educational Change edited by Andy Hargreaves. The concept of ‘competitiveness’, in unprecedented vogue since the 1980s, and its components quality, accountability and effectiveness are placed into the context where they emerged. A critical stand is taken, asking whose needs are responded to and taken into consideration in education reform for competitiveness.
