The course EDLS 510 is a 4 ECTS course, meaning that the workload is 108 full working hours. The course consists of power point slides and video classes that comprise lectures on various dynamics of education reform, its realization in different social contexts and discussions with and among students, where the multifaceted global circumstances and views become visible.

Per each session there is a reflective writing task and there may be an assignment before the lectures or after them as well. These assignments can best be documented in the reflective report, thus forming a log at the end of the course. The articles recommended for reading before or after the video lectures are supplementary options with the aim of opening new perspectives to the topic under discussion.

The core requirement for the students is to form their own stand on the issues presented in the video classes. When writing their reflective reports, the students are expected to express their views on the core views presented by the lecturer and the students’ discussions. The views are supplemented by the final assignment on a selection of articles from the Classics of Organization Theory book, where the focus is on the connection between the changing environments and the respective developments in organizational theory.
