Finnish Christmas (and New Year's) traditions (and how our family spends Christmas)

- Create a Powerpoint presentation (pictures + text) on Finnish Christmas (and New Year's?) traditions.

- With your permission, the presentations will be shared (on a secure eTwinning platform) with a secondary school in southern France with which Virpi has started cooperating.

- They have promised to send us something similar in return at some point in January/February.

- It would be nice if your presentation had a "personal touch" to it i.e. if you could include pictures of your family's Christmas traditions  (preparations, food, decorations, presents, Santa, Christmas Eve) - BUT ONLY WITH THE PERMISSION OF YOUR PARENTS AND NOT INCLUDING PICTURES OF PEOPLE, unless you want to share a picture of YOURSELF.

- It would also be nice if your presentations had some pictures of what Joensuu (eg. city centre) looks like during Christmas season.

Also: Start your presentation with a short introduction of yourself (i.e. Who are you? What are your hobbies and interests? etc.) If you wish, you can also add a selfie!

Schedule:

1) In December: As homework: Planning the texts ( = write notes digitally on your Chromebook), choosing pictures from the internet (Creative Commons and/or taking pictures during the holiday (is it possible to save them in a "cloud" to be accessible on your Chromebook?)

2) By the end of January: At home and at school: creating the actual Powerpoint.
