For others, it is important that the nation retains a degree of self-sufficiency and does not rely completely on foods produced outside its borders. Some people favor local and organic foods.

There is a lot of agriculture in Finland. Cereals and dairy are the most important Finnish agricultural products. In addition, agriculture is an important employer for many Finns.
