Hello everyone,

My name is Joyce. I am a student from Los Angeles, California studying education in University of Eastern Finland for a semester. I am studying education because I love working with children and I want to inspire them to pursue their interests. I came to Finland because they are very well known for their educational system. In UEF, I am taking a course called "Teaching Practice for International Students". This course placed me in Mutalan Koulu where I have had the wonderful opportunity to learn and work with the teachers. More specifically I have been working with Hanna Kaisa and her English students. Throughout my time here, I have learned a lot about the importance of project based learning and the relationship between teachers and students.
