Long, long ago some animals had 1. no tails and 2. others very small ones. One day the lion asked 3. all the animals to come to him and told them to get good tails 4. one way or another. Some time later the animals came back and 12. each / every animal had a beautiful tail. But 13. nobody had remembered to bring 14. another tail for the hare. 15. None of the animals had 16. anything for the hare. 17. Some of them forgot all about the hare; 18. the others perhaps remembered but could not find a good tail. The hare still has a short little tail and learnt that if you must do 19. something, don’t ask 20. other animals to do it for you.
