1. S-genitive

1. ihmisestä
It was Donald Trump's speech we heard.
It was a singer's beautiful voice we heard. = laulajan ääni
There were many singers' voices mixed. = monien laulajien ääniä
NB!
The passengers' destination was Seattle.
= The destination of the passengers was Seattle. (selvyyden vuoksi voi sanoa näin)
= Matkustajien määränpää oli Seattle.
The passenger's destination was Seattle. (= Matkustajan määränpää oli Seattle.)

2. sanotaan näin, vaikka ei ole kyseessä ihminen / ihmiset
There is much violence in today's world.
Yesterday's news was disturbing.

That dress is a girl's dress.
Those were girls' dresses.

4. ajan genetiivi

= I had an eight-week holiday. 
= I had a holiday of eight weeks.
= I had a holiday that lasted eight weeks.
It is an hour's drive to Lahti.
They are going on a three weeks' holiday to Greece. = They are going on a three-week holiday to Greece.
5. especially in BrE (paikan genetiivi)
I am going to the hairdresser('s (salon)).
