Student mobility

Student express mobility between VALA partners

We are happy to announce that the VALA network can offer student express mobility between the partner institution. We encourage you to use this opportunity to widen your horizon and form connections with otherCGC programs and professionals in the Nordic and Baltic countries.

Overview of partners and procedures

You as a student are playing the leading role in the mobility and have to take responsibility for filling out forms for your funding, contacting the involved partners in timely manner, creating your own schedule and align it with your goals. There are three main partners you need to consider when applying for express mobility.

1.Home institution or more specifically the Career Guidance and Counseling (CGC) program you are attending in your country. The contact person (teacher) oversees the Nordplus mobility on behalf of the program, approves applications and confirms the approval to the hosting institution and International office at University of Iceland.

2. Hosting institution is the CGC program or work place you would like to visit. The program contact (teacher) is a key person who helps you organize your visit. Each institution also provides a student contact person you can get in touch with for more information and social integration with students. Information about contact persons are under programs and placements.

3. International office at the University of Iceland pays out grants of approved applications and oversees the application process along with the VALA network coordinator (Sif Einarsdóttir).
