On this course, ENA3, we will learn about culture from many different points of view: Music and festivals, theatre and movies, literature, visual arts. You will also give a presentation and practise writing a review.

Book: Insights 3, Otava (e-book)

Chapters: 1, 2, 5, 6, 8 + glossaries: music, theatre and film, literature, visual arts

Grammar: substantiivit, artikkelit, genetiivi

Writing: a movie review (200-400 words, instructions Learning to learn 3. How to present like a pro & 4. How to prepare a presentation). Deadline: 13^th March.

Presentations: in pairs or small groups (3-4 persons) an oral presentation of a cultural topic (high brow culture). Duration: 7-10 min / pair, 10-15 min / group. Videos etc max 2-3 minutes. Due: Tuesday 20^th March.

Listenings: 1-2 old matriculations tests + smaller tasks

Evaluation: tests (incl. grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, listening comprehension and writing) make about 70% of the grade. Presentation 15 % and the movie review and activity another 15 %.
