Welcome to course 1! This course is about the lives of young people, studying, family situations, being Finnish and English as a global language.

Books: Insights 1 (sähköinen kirja), OTAVA Chapters: 2, 3, 4, 5, 7 Kielioppi: verbien aikamuodot, kysymys- ja kieltolauseet, liitekysymykset, ehtolauseet. Epäsäännölliset verbit testataan torstaisin neljässä osassa. 1. arise- dwell, 2. eat- leap 3. learn – sneak 4. sow - write.

Oral practice, discussions.

The evaluation is based on the final test, vocabulary tests, verb tests, listening comprehension test, writings, discussions and everything you do during the course, so be active and positive! Also, please remember to be punctual and hand in everything in time.

The final test is done on the computer and it includes vocabulary and grammar exercises, composition and both a reading and listening comprehension. Please remember to have your computer with you every time!
