On this course we are dealing with studying, working and economy. You get to plan your further studies: What, where and when to study. We are also practicing applying for a job by writing a CV and a personal statement and taking part in a job fair. In addition, we’ll have a look at the world of money and finance. 

Book: Insights 6, Otava (e-book) 

Chapters: 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 9 + glossaries on school/education, work and economy 

Grammar: 

• adjectives and adverbs 
• reported speech 
• shortened clauses 
• prepositions/adverbs with verbs, nouns and adjectives

Vocabulary tests (Glossaries): on Thursdays 14.2, 14.3, 28.3

Preposition tests: Thu 21.2, Tue 5.3 and Thu 21.3

Writing: 

• A CV (instructions Learning to learn 1. Compiling a CV) 
• A composition at home: an organized paragraph (Learning to learn 3 and 4) 

Listening comprehension: old matriculations tests + video listenings 

Evaluation: The evaluation is based on everything we do on the course: The final test, vocabulary tests, preposition tests, listening comprehension tests, writing tasks. Please remember to hand in everything in time. 
 
The final test is done by computer and it includes vocabulary and grammar exercises, composition and reading and listening comprehension.
