• Being able to describe how fell vegetation changes according to the elevation.
• Knowing what animal species live on the slopes of fells.

• Fells are the mountainous environments of Northern Lapland.
• Fell vegetation changes according to the elevation from coniferous forests to mountain birch forests, and finally to bare summits. 
• Reindeers and Norway lemmings are the most common fell-dwelling animals.
