The aim of the project is to develop the staff and pupils' three global citizenship competencies defined in the syllabus: intercultural competence, multi-literacy and ICT skills with the means of positive pedagogy. Without these skills, surviving in a multicultural and multilingual world is a challenge. Erasmus training provides the paricipants with new pedagogical ideas and ICT skills which helps them to reach the competencies with an action based, multidisciplinary and sustainable framework. International contacts made during the mobilities expand the school's international network with European schools, develop the staff's ICT and language skills in a versatile way which also supports lifelong learning. Erasmus training will also strengthen the staff's pedagogical skills and develop the everyday operation of the school. This will improve the staff's and pupils' well-being, involvement and work motivation which leads into better learning results.
Six training courses and three job shadowing periods will be implemented during the project. The topics of the mobilities are intercultural competence, multiliteracy, ICT, global citizenship and sustainable lifestyle. They support the accomplishment of the project objectives which are concretized as a multidisciplinary "Eco Act" learning unit for the 1st-6th graders and as optional courses "My School" and "Google Net pages". The learning unit and optional courses will be designed and implemented by using the new pedagogical ideas, methods and European contacts acquired during the mobilities.
