Language Carousel is realized in co-operation with the University of Eastern Finland. It has a two-folded mission: on the one hand, it gives real life teaching experience to the teachers to be and on the other hand, it provides the pupils of Karhunmäki school the possibility to get acquainted with foreign languages around the world. The sessions last about 60 minutes and they are based on action and multisensory learning.

In 2018, German and Spanish Erasmus exchange students from the University of Eastern Finland designed and realized two language sessions in their respective languages for the pupils of Karhunmäki school. The sessions were based on first come first served principle according to which the 12 fastest ones to enroll were the lucky ones to be able to participate. During a-60 minute-session the pupils learned a number of useful phrases and vocabulary by playing and singing.
