Data managing in Peda.net
When deploying Peda.net service, the following information is gathered and stored for each user: name, address, phone number and e-mail address. All the information is provided by user when registrating into the service.
Purpose of keeping the registerMain purpose to gather data is to enable service usage.
Gathered data is used to e.g. bulletin and referencing the users in case of if a possible problem occurs. User may be notified if important changes are made or changes made to service will impact on use.
All the gathered data is stored in a coded database protected with passwords and user names.
ConfidentialityNo data is delivered to third parties nor outside the EU or EEA district except in the following cases:
- Authorities requesting the data during the criminal investigation
- Peda.net school network authenticted trainees or training organizators may be granted a temporary and limited access to information essential in training.
Session cookies are used to control log in and to maintain few other settings during the usage. This information is not stored but rather active only until the browser is closed.
A user may request long term log in session, in which case persistent cookie is used (this will save the data when user closes the browser).
Www-server statistics based on logs are gathered of Peda.net applications usage. The statistics are gathered only to monitor the utilization rate in service, and they do not include any user information.
Peda.net applications include logs that monitor the usage, and these logs are used by persons in charge. Information gathered from logs involve data from the last 30 days.
