Content licensing in Peda.net service

Peda.net service's terms of use defines the contents minimum licencies. Terms of use do not have affect to materials' ownership: the ownership remains with the legal owner. Service provider does not receive any additional rights to users' material except what must be maintained in order to run the service as the terms of use define.

Basically this means same as "all rights are reserved" with the exception that Peda.net reserves the right to share the original copy and its derivatives (e.g. icons created from the image) according to user's defined publicity settings, and to back-up the content.

Other licence options also include always the required rights for Peda.net servide, and when it comes to Creatice Commons licenses, for any other service providers as well.

Content provider can choose any of the provided licenses when generating contents to Peda.net.

Please bear in mind that you must have copyright holder's authorization to license added content with the license of your choice. Especially pay attention to the fact that when it comes to e.g. courses used in education, changing the license type requires students' permission as well, if they have generated contents of their own.

What comes to Creatice Commons licenses is that the content is always licensed with the latest version of the license.
