Our trip to Lübeck

(thursday)
Our trip started early in the morning and we had to meet up at our school around 4 am. We were all very tired but we still managed to get there just on time. At the school there were a bus waiting for us which took us to the airport. Everyone was quite sleepy but excited about the whole trip. We listened to a bunch of songs and talked our whole way through to the airport.
At the airport we had a few hours of free time after we had dropped our suitcases to the aircraft hold. The clock was running quite fast and suddenly it was our departure time. Our flight went well and we arrived to Lübeck on time. We got to meet up with some polish people at Lübecks train station which was our destination after the airport.
Down below you can see a photo of Ella which has been taken the time when we were walking in Lübeck and finding our way to Ernestinenschule.

Our week

Our week was filled with joy and a lot of fun. We had almost every day something planned stuff to do. In my opinion the whole system was good because we did many different things through the week and we never got bored.
(friday)
Our second day went quite fast because we were in Hansapark. The day was lovely and the weather was very good. It was fun to spend time in there and we all loved the place! We even went to the scariest rollercoaster which you can see here:

(saturday)
We had a free day but at first we weren't sure what are we going to do. Me and Jasmin heard that some polish and finnish students were going to Hamburg and we decited to join them. It was a good decision because our day was pretty nice. Unfortunately the weather was awful because it was raining all the time but at least we got to see Hamburg. At first we went to some shops with the others but after that me and Jasmin went to some italian restaurant. The food we ate there was excellent and I swear that I have never tasted anything as good as this dessert down here:

(sunday)
We were at Ernestinenschule and we did different kind of tasks related to migration and refugees. For example we made some posters and videos in groups. Our school was till noon and after that we ate at Peter Pane. In the evening some of us spent time at the centrum of Lübeck.

(monday)
Us students and all of the teachers visited a refugee organisation which is actually an monastery. We got to hear what one of the priest wanted to tell us and then three refugees told us their story. It was very intresting to hear their stories but it was also quite sad to be able to listen what they have gone through.
We also got to go to a monk church and we saw their worship there. It was interesting to watch it because it was quite different than what we are used to in Finland. After the worship we ate at the monastery cafeteria and after the meal our bus driver took us back to Lübeck.

(tuesday)
Berlin day!
We had a very early morning on tuesday because we went to the capital of Germany. Our bus drive took us for a long time so thats why we didn't have so much free time there but we still got to see the amazing sights of Berlin. It was a fun day!
For example we visited the museum of Berlin and a scary bunker which is from the second world war.
(wednesday)
Me, Jasmin, Iiro, Salla and Jere visited the germans english lesson in the morning. After that we had some free time and then all of the erasmus students had an guided tour around Lübeck. It was interesting to see more places there and to learn essential facts of the city.
At the evening we had an farewell party in the schools cafeteria. Everyone was with each other and we sang together also. It was a great way to spend our last evening together!

(thursday)
On our last day all of the finnish students went to Hamburg because we had the whole day just for us. We went to eat something and then we got a lot of free time which we spent for shopping. Our day was quite long because we had to wait for our departure. After Hamburg we went to the airport and then we flew to our homeland Finland.

Our whole trip to Germany was very good and memorable! :)
