Results of Feeling Good Survey

Summary

Results „Feeling good“ survey- Germany

Most of our students eat three times a day. They have breakfast in the morning, lunch around 12 p.m. and dinner in the early evening. The most common food at home are typical basics such as butter, milk, bread, meat, pasta, vegetables and fruit. Sweets seem to be not as common as suspected. It´s also interesting to see the wide range of cultural food from different countries such as Russia, Turkey and Albania. The students´ favourite dishes, however, are mostly unhealthy, for example, pizza, burger, chips, döner etc. Healthy options such as fruit, nuts and vegetables are not favouritised as much.

Most students only do sports about two times a week or even less. But there are still a good 35% who are active three to five times weekly. Hobbies regarding sports are usually football, swimming, dancing and also horse riding.

Surprisingly, most students seem to have a good sleeping habit with about six to nine hours of sleep per night. Only 10% sleep less than 5 hours. Bedtime ranges from 9 to 10 p.m. and most students get up at 6 o´clock during the week. Only a small minority gets up later at 7 o´clock.

It´s nice to see that most students have a good relationship with their parents. Quite a few describe it as very good and only a few seem to have a bad relationship with their parents.

While doing the questionnaire the majority of the students felt at least good but tired.

All in all our students seem to have a pretty average lifestyle. They don´t appear to be extraordinarily healthy nor unhealthy.
