You will do this course either abroad as an exchange student or in an English daycare in Finland.
There are several tasks I will ask you to do to pass this course, but the most important task is to use English actively during your time abroad or in an English daycare.

The content (=sisältö) matters most. If you are aiming at the best grades I will also consider the beauty of the language (grammar, vocabulary). Otherwise, don't worry too much. Just do it and enjoy!

Task 1, Preparing for working in English: Telling about yourself and your work.
Create a video or visit me and speak with me about following topics.
1. Tell something about yourself in English!
Who are you? Why are you interested in working with children? What do you think are your strengths when working with children?
2. Tell about tasks you might encounter in your work.
What would you like to do in your work in future? Have you already worked or practiced working with children? Where and when? What did you do? What would you like to learn more about?
When you have done this, it will be easier to tell about yourself and your professional plans in English.

Choose a problem or a challenge you need help with. Write a dialogue, where you ask for help with something and a colleague or a superior helps you and explains how to act. Please, remember to be very polite when asking for help and when thanking for it.

Interview a colleague or your superior abroad or in an English daycare. Please, remember to be polite, when asking for the interview and thanking for it.
Ask the questions and take notes. You can think of more questions yourself, if you wish.

Are there cultural aspects you must think of when you are working?
