EN 7 ; Starting up

Welcome to course EN 7!
EN 7 concentrates on nature conservation and human being's role in the universe. It also focuses on getting your English skills as good as possible.

The course is divided into three main working ideas to make it more clear and easy to access working somewhat independently.
1. Every Tuesday we will start with a zoom-meeting ( ID: 811 670 412) and focus on the grammar of the course.

2. Every Wednesday we will work on the texts of the book. Occasionally, if you want, we van work with zoom here also, but that is voluntary.

3. And every Friday we will prepare for the matriculation examination.

I need to confirm your presence, so on Tuesday's you can enroll by joining the zoom
( ID: 811 670 412), on Wed and Fri, send me a message in wilma that you are present. It is enough if the message is sent within the day, not at any precise moment.

We will be using On Track 7 and the texts that we will focus on are topics 1,2,5,8,10 and 12.

The grammar we will look into are if-clauses, relative pronouns, modal auxiliaries, passive voice, articles, word order, harmony of tenses and maybe take a quick look at shortened sentences.

Unit 4 in your book concentrates on working for the big test, your final test. We will be working with that part on Fridays plus I will bring along more material.

It is a lot of work, but this distance learning let’s you work more independently and plan your own daily schedule. I will be there to help you, but according to our timetable. So I will be online with you Tue 10.30-11.45, Wed 10.30-11.45 and Fri 12.30-13.45.

And while we now work so much with the computer, it also allows us to use several different sources of learning and information. I see that as a big plus!

As learning a language is –and must be- an interactive experience, I would like all of you to find a partner in the group. Thus when we have a spoken excercise, you can take a video call with your partner and practise together. You will find the list of people in the course on the pedanet page. Ask me to help you find a partner and contact them.

On the right hand side you can find a mini grammar to help you.
