Wednesday 25.3.
Most of us are familiar with the Evangelical Lutheran Church but the other Christian denominations are not that well known. Kortepohja School is now located next to the brand new Jyväskylä Pentecostal Church. When we think about churches we are usually thinking about buildings. However, the buildings we call churches are only places where the real church, the people who believe in God, are gathering.
The short project we start today and which should be finished by next Wednesday, is about the Christian denomination (kirkkokunta) called the Pentecostal Church. Worldwide the Pentecostal Church is much larger denomination than the Ev. Lutheran Church, so it is good to know a little bit more about it.
Your assignment is to find out information about the Jyväskylä Pentecostal Church (mainly available in Finnish) or about Kensington Temple which is a Pentecostal Church in England.
1. Create a new document (lisää/luo uusi Google docs) in the Classroom learning environment.
2. Choose the Pentecostal Church you are going to study and go to their web page.
