Kultavuori school in English

Kultavuoren koulu is a modern primary school with 370 pupils from pre-schoolers to 6th graders, aged 6 to 13 years. Kultavuori school is located in the centre of the town of Orivesi.

The values of our school are responsibility, safety, respect and communality. These values are present in our school and we try to adopt and adapt them in our lives in and out of the school. Politeness, greeting, right-side moving and keeping one’s voice down are the ordinary everyday customs in our school.

Our teachers participate actively in different kinds of trainings – some have been in courses like Moving school (Liikkuva koulu), Nature school (Luontokoulu) and Outdoor school (Ulkokoulu) to name some. All the staff has been trained in positive pedagogy. Our school is part of the national Moving School project. Our school is accredited Erasmus+ school. It means that we have active virtual and live projects with other European schools. This school year we have had visits from Italy and Cyprus and sixth grade students are travelling to Italy to study Medieval history.  Our school received the Green flag in the beginning of the year 2022, thank you, green agents!
