Few esiintyy monikollisten substantiivien edessä. Sen voi korvata sanoilla hardly any tai not many. Sen merkitys on negatiivinen: harvat, aniharvat.

There were few tourists in Gaza./
There were hardly any tourists in Gaza./
There weren’t many tourists in Gaza.
