This painting really is peaceful and the colours blend beautifully together. I agree with you that the artwork shows everything it needs to. If it was cropped differently the calm and peacful feeling might disappear. The reflection of the buildings brings symmetry to the painting and makes it look realistic. I hadn't seen any works from Claude Monet before but based on this painting I really like his painting style.

I had never seen this beautiful and peaceful painting before and I really liked that you chose to analyze this one. I like that you described the painter and the technique of this masterpiece very diversily. In my opinion, the imprecise painting style of everything in the painting combined with the fog, adds to its peaceful atmosphere.
