"Let me be myself" is a graffiti made by a Brazilian street artist named Eduardo Kobra. It was painted in Amsterdam in 2016. Eduardo Kobra has made over 3000 murals all over the world and he is known for using vibrant colors in his huge murals. He was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil in 1975 where he began making his murals before becoming world-famous.

Eduardo Kobra's style and technique are based on painting portraits of different people while using many bright colors on his graffiti. They are often quite political or somehow meaningful and large in size. Kobra used over 450 spray cans and 35 liters of lacquer paint for this graffiti.

I chose this picture because I was impressed with the colorful appearance of this huge graffiti. Also, the text "Let me be myself" combined with the happy expression of Anne Frank made me want to know the meaning of this piece of art.

The graffiti is cropped to show the face of Anne Frank and her body is left outside of it. I think that this was made to concentrate on her expression of happiness. You can see a text "Let me be myself" at the top which gives the graffiti a meaningful and powerful message. I think that the cropping was made well and there wouldn't be a reason to for example show her whole body instead of her face.

I think that the message of this graffiti is equality and world peace. Eduardo Kobra probably wanted to remind people that everyone is equal despite everything and that nobody should be discriminated against because of any physical, ethnic, or religious feature. I think that is why Kobra chose to paint a portrait of Anne Frank because her fate is a good example of history what might happen if we think otherwise.

I was so amazed by this graffiti that I needed to search for more of Eduadro Kobra's works. His style in his works is colourful as you said and has this mosaic like feature. It is impressing how he uses well-known persons to make his art to recall how we have to act now that past horrifying events won't happen again and how we need to do right things to make world better for everyone.

You have analyzed this graffiti very well. I can relate to many of those points you have brought out of this painting. For example you have figured out the message of this picture which is equality and world peace also in my opinion. You have also nicely figured out the connections with this picture to the history. Overall good choice and excellent writing.

The painting you chose is really colorful and gorgeous. You told me really well to paint the birth and what you think of it yourself. Excellent entity and really good text. I think you have found the message of the painting and I agree with you on it.

I think it is impressive how Eduardo Kobra is capable of making building sized graffiti portraits and making them look so colourful and realistic at the same time. On top of that, I also think that the portrait of Anne Frank symbolizes world peace.
