I like this song, too, and I agree that this song touches many people because it's very well known so a lot of people have heard it. I think that the lyrics are pretty simple but that makes the song easily relatable. The message of the lyrics can be read in many different ways. I like your interpretation of the theme because it is true that if you are happy and also yourself then nothing else really matters.
