9. luokkien arvioitavat tavoitteet
- Ymmärrät englannin kielen aseman maailmassa keskeisenä kielenä. Tunnistat englannin eri variantteja. Sinulla on tietoa englanninkielisten maiden kulttuureista. (T1)
- Asetat tavoitteita englannin opiskelullesi. Arvioit oppimistasi ja muutat tarvittaessa toimintatapojasi tehokkaammiksi. Vahvistat itsellesi sopivia tapoja opiskella. (T4)
- Käytät englannin taitoasi monipuolisesti myös koulun ulkopuolella. Tiedostat, miten voit käyttää kielitaitoasi koulun päätyttyä ja oppia koko ajan lisää. (T5)
- Osaat kertoa itsestäsi ja lähipiiristäsi englanniksi. Osallistut englanninkieliseen keskusteluun ja ilmaiset mielipiteesi. (T6)
- Saat ilmaistua asiasi vaikka et osaisi kaikkia sanoja esim. selittämällä ja käyttämällä elekieltä. Osaat myös varmistaa, menikö viestisi perille. (T7)
- Tunnet tärkeimmät englanninkielisten kulttuurien kohteliaisuussäännöt ja huomioit ne viestiessäsi. Kunnioitat erilaisia kulttuurisia piirteitä ja kommunikoit rakentavasti. (T8)
- Ymmärrät monenlaisia puhuttuja ja kirjoitettuja tekstejä. (T9)
- Osaat kirjoittaa ja puhua englantia erilaisissa tilanteissa käyttäen kielitaitoasi monipuolisesti. Pyrit myös hyvään ääntämiseen muistaen kuitenkin, että tärkeintä on että sinua ymmärretään. (T10)

Schedule:
Lesson 1:- Choose a project from the list below. To get a good grade, choose a project that is challenging enough! Read the corresponding Your choice text and do the exercises in the workbook.
Lessons 2 - 3:
- Fill in the work plan of the project on Pedanet where you will set goals and processes for your work.
- Find information about your topic and prepare a presentation (a poster, a powerpoint, a video presentation, Google slides, audio recording...). If necessary, you will have to complete the project at home.
- Presentations of the projects.
- Self- and peer evaluation of the presentations.
It’s recommendable to use your own mobile phone or personal laptop. There will also be some chromebooks available.

Criteria of a good presentation / project work:
- enough information about the chosen topic
- overall appearance of the project work (balanced slides with well chosen pictures and videos)
- loud voice
- good pronunciation
- fluent reading (requirement for 'very good' or 'excellent': the text has been rehearsed well enough so that the speakers don't need the written text)
