Käyttö:
- tulevaisuuden ilmaus: Sara will enjoy this lesson as she loves grammar.
- tulevaisuuden rutiinit: We will practice this in every lesson.
- tulevaisuudessa kesto: They will be writing their essays for the whole lesson tomorrow.
- tulevaisuudessa päättynyt tekeminen: You will have finished all the assignments by the time the course ends.
- aikomus: I am going to teach this very thoroughly next time.
- todennäköinen tapahtuma: It looks like it´s going to rain as there are dark clouds in the sky.
- lukkoon lyöty tapahtuma tulevaisuudessa: We are getting married next summer.
- aikataulut: The plain leaves at 8 tomorrow evening.
Muodostus:
- perusfutuuri: will + pääverbin perusmuoto: We will study hard in the next period.
- kestofutuuri: will + be + pääverbin -ING-muoto: Martta will be working as an au pair for 3 months in the summer.
- futuuri II = tulevaisuudessa päättynyt tekeminen: will + have + pääverbin 3. muoto: My students will have taken plenty of tests by the end of high school.
- aikomus / todennäköinen tapahtuma: be + going + to + pääverbin perusmuoto: The teachers are going to help you.
- lukkoon lyöty tulevaisuuden tapahtuma: be + pääverbing -ING-muoto = kestopreesens: The student council is having the next meeting tomorrow.
