1. Pronunciation

- Read the text in the green box and consider why it is important to practise and enhance your oral skills.

- Work in pairs and talk about the questions in exercise 1 Pronunciation matters.

- Study at your own pace and the following exercises:

• Do exercise 2. > 1) First watch the video about American English Diphtongs. 2) Familiarize with IPA and listen to the different sounds.
• Do listening comprehension exercises 3 and 5.
• Do exercises 6 and 7. You can also work with a pair and practise to pronounce the words correctly. If you study on your own, listen to how the words should be pronounced by using Oxford Learner's Dictionary or Cambridge Dictionary.
