First project ends in August 2021

The Nordplus Adult project How seniors learn digital skills in the Nordics and Baltic? has facilitated and organised multiple international meetings and seminars, with hosting duties being handled by each participating country. The meetings have included e.g. expert presentations and discussions on different practices and methods of supporting and advancing digital competencies in senior citizens. The shared practices have lead to participating countries adopting and applying them in their own context such as with different peer tutoring programs.

Information and material from the project has also been disseminated within and by the organizing institutions, and throughout the project the meeting practices were developed with continuous evaluation as well as gathering and disseminating feedback from the participants.

Moving the meetings online in reaction to the Covid19 pandemic was somewhat of a challenge but also helped the meetings gain even more participants outside the immediate Nordplus network. The material produced by the project has been collected to a web portal shared within the project.

The work on the project has built a network of cooperation and partnership between the participating countries that continues to be utilized and developed with a future project. In addition to this the project has connected and shared its work with participants outside the project.

The cooperation will continue in a new Nordplus Adult project NPAD-2021/10187: DIGITAL SUPPORT: Guidelines for training the trainers to support seniors towards making daily life more easy in digital world. The project start at September 2021 and continues till the end of year 2023.
