Like its name suggests, the ”Fill in the blanks” form field is used for tasks where a participant must write a correct word based on context clues. The correct answer is determined by the creator of the form. The participant must then write this word in the blank text field in order to get points from the task.
Fill in the blanks: editing and examining responses
1. When modifying a form, click on the text field and write the instructions for your task. After doing so, click the ”Fill in the blanks” button from the form field menu. A code that reads “[[_:v=correct answer:s=0:t=]]” will appear in the text field.
2. Add a correct answer and a point value to the form field:
4. After the participant has written their answers and clicked ”Save”, they will see their results as well as the correct answer to each question. The creator of the form can examine the participants’ responses by clicking on the “Responses” button.

- Replace the “correct answer” text with your own answer. You can add multiple correct answers by separating them with the “|” sign as follows: “v=option 1|option 2|option 3”.
- Replace the number following “s=” with the point value.
