Storing and displaying images with an image gallery

The ”Image gallery” module can be used to store and display images. The image gallery contains a comment feature, which makes it possible for users to comment on the pictures either individually or as a whole.

Creating an image gallery:

When editing a page, click on the “Other tool” button.
Click on the “Image gallery” option.
Give your image gallery a title. You can also allow participants to comment the images. When you are finished, click “Save”.
You will be redirected back to the host page. Now you can add images to the gallery by clicking on the “Add a new image” button.

Adding images to an image gallery:

Click on the “Add a new image” button under the title of the image gallery.
Click on ”Choose file”. You can now choose the image file you want to upload from your computer. When this is done, click “OK”.
The image is now uploaded to the gallery. Give it a title and a (optional) description. You can also allow participants to comment on the image. Finally, click “Save”.
You will be redirected back to the host page.

N.B!

Remember to enter edit mode by clicking the ”Show actions” button on the top of the page. If the button on the top of the page reads ”Hide actions”, you are already in edit mode.

Changing the order of images
You can change the order in which the gallery's images are displayed by clicking on the “Organize” button. You will be taken to a page in which you can arrange the order of images either by giving them numbers (with the image with the smallest number being displayed first) or by dragging and dropping the images into the desired order.

Finally, click on the ”Save organization” button. Your images will now be displayed in the specified order.

Viewer mode
The images of an image gallery can also be viewed in viewer mode. In viewer mode, only one image is displayed at a time, and the user can navigate between various images by using the left and right arrows.
