Functions in Wilma

When you log in to Wilma you arrive on your main page, where you can find links to various functions at the top. On the main page you will also find unread messages and notifications about upcoming events.

  • The main page contains a list of all the subjects and courses in the actual term, along with the latest homework assignments.
  • You can use the Messages-function to send messages to teachers and school staff within Wilma. It works the same way as e-mails.
  • Schedule: here you can see your child’s schedule by term or by semester.
  • Tests: a list of upcoming tests.
  • Grades and credits : your child’s grades in the subjects and courses.
  • In the Lesson notes-function you can see your child’s absences and provide reasons for them. Clicking the tab Browse lesson notes allows you to examine lesson notes by term or by semester. On the tab Notify absence you can notify the teacher about absences on the actual day or on the day after.
  • The Support-section lists all the support measures involving the child, for example educational support, and the pedagogical documents. Disciplinary measures taken are also listed here.
  • The Printouts-section contains school forms, your child’s latest certificate and other printouts that the school has made available.
  • By clicking on Surveys you can answer surveys conducted by teachers and staff.
  • Announcements: announcements from teachers and staff.
  • The Curriculum-section includes the subjects available at the school and the themes of every course and/or grade.
  • Teachers: a list of the teachers and staff at the school. Clicking on a person’s name will open that person’s schedule. When you click on the letter-icon you can send a message to the teacher. On this page you can also see which group the teacher is supervising.
  • Classrooms: the rooms where teaching takes place, and the schedules for these rooms by term.
  • Annual planning: the annual plan for the school.
  • In the Forms-section you can make changes to your address and telephone number, for instance. Here you can also register a media permit to your child.
  • Account settings: here you can change your Wilma password. But if you have forgotten your password entirely, ask the school to give you a new one. Visma InSchool does not have access to this information. In this section you can also inactivate the iCalendar-link. Here you can also view the event log for Wilma use, if you have a personal user name (i.e. not a joint one of the old type).
  • The Notification preferenceslets you choose how you want to receive information about new messages and absences; either as e-mail and/or text message. It might not be possible to change all settings, because the school decides which settings are available for change. For instance, the school may have decided that only e-mail can be used in the communication, and not text messages. In the image to the right you can see examples of various alternatives depending on which settings the school has made.
    • Instant notifications:Here you can choose to receive information about lesson notes and internal messages via e-mail and/or SMS. You will then be notified instantly. A message only concerns one case.
    • Collected notifications:Here you can choose to receive information about lesson notes, internal messages, test scores and notifications via e-mail or SMS. You can also specify when to receive the collected notification. As opposed to an instant notification, a collected notification can include many cases.

The school may also include other functions, such as the possibility to view the material of the school library, or more detailed information on places for on-the-job-learning.

More user instruction will be provided by the school. Our instructions are foremost aimed at technical administrators, principals and student office secretaries. If you have a problem, please contact the Wilma administrator at the school.

Changing your password

If you remember your current password and want to change it, and you have a personal account (which means that you have created it with a key code and you use your email address and a password to log in):

  • Log in to Wilma
  • Click on the wrench icon in the upper right corner and click on Account settings
  • Give the old password, the new password, and then the new password again
  • Click on Change password

Forgotten your password?

If you remember the email address that you have used with Wilma, you can create a new password by clicking Forgot your password? on the Wilma front page.

A good password

Choose a password that is complex enough. It must consist of at least 8 characters and contain at least three of the following: upper-case letters, lower case letters, numbers and special characters.

Name and email address changes

A Wilma user with a personal Wilma account (see above) can change the email address and the name via the Notification preferences in Wilma. Changing the email address will mean that the user name for Wilma changes as well. The user name stays the same when the person only changes his or her first or last name.

If you don't have a personal Wilma account, please contact the school to get the changes made
