Preparing and presenting your poster at the IAEVG International Conference 2024

On this page you find information on preparing and presenting your poster at the IAEVG International Conference 2024. The same information can also be found in the PDF document below.

Poster size
The maximum poster size is A0 (84.1 cm x 118.9 cm). Please ensure that the poster content is in portrait orientation (i.e. vertically). Posters in landscape format (i.e. horizontally) cannot be displayed in the Poster Exhibition.

Poster material
The poster must be printed on either paper or fabric. Electronic posters cannot be displayed in the Poster Exhibition.

Language
The poster should be written in one of the official IAEVG languages (English, French, German, or Spanish). If the main language of the poster is not English, the poster must contain a summary in English.

Printing the poster
You are responsible for having your poster printed. Please bring your poster with you to the conference.

Using a printing service in Finland (before the conference)
Alternatively, you can have your poster printed by a Finnish company before the conference and have it delivered to the Finnish Institute for Educational Research, conference organisers. The organisers will then bring your poster to the conference venue for you to pick up. The printing service is provided by an external company, Grano. Please inform us (iaevg2024@jyu.fi) if you decide to use the Grano printing service, so that we know to expect the delivery of your poster. If you wish to have your poster printed by Grano, please submit your order to them by Thursday 31 October 2024 at the very latest. The payment can be made using a credit card.

Please see the Grano website (https://granoshop.fi/en/product/35235/poster-a0/details) for further details and instructions. Please submit your order as an “order without signup”.

Presenting your poster at the conference

Please ensure that you bring your poster to the designated exhibition area (the Upper Foyer of the Paviljonki Conference Centre) by 8.30 in the morning of your designated presentation day. Please see the conference programme to find out which day your poster has been allocated to.

If you have chosen to have your poster printed by Grano and delivered to the Conference Centre, please collect your poster from the registration desk on the ground floor of the Conference Centre in the morning of your designated presentation day at the latest.

In the Upper Foyer you will find a list of all posters and their presenters as well as the allocated location for each poster. Please take your poster to the correct poster wall and attach it to the poster wall using the pins provided. There is no need to bring pins etc. with you, as these will be provided by the local organisers. The posters are attached to a wall covered with felt.

Please ensure that you are present by your poster at least during the morning poster session (please see the programme for exact timings of the sessions). You may wish to prepare handouts based on your poster to give out to those interested in your work.
