Presentation formats:

  • Paper session: Each paper session, grouped by the scientific committee, consists of 3 oral presentations (20 minutes each) followed by a discussion with the audience. These sessions are for scientific communication, discussion on practice and theory, or reflection on experimentation. The proposals shall be of a high scientific level and should be linked to the conference themes.
  • Workshop of practices: A 90-minute session based on innovative practices or experimentation. The proposal should include an introduction, objectives, theoretical basis and key references, detailing the content, intended audience, and whether the workshop will be interactive, presentation-based, or experiential. The proposals shall clearly link to scientific research and/or innovative practice and should be linked to conference themes.
  • Symposia session: Symposia sessions (60-90 minutes) are designed to explore specific topics or major regional/cross-border initiatives through a series of three to four related papers, facilitated by a chair/discussant. We consider it desirable that presenters, chair and discussants represent at least two different nationalities. Each paper will be allocated 10-15 minutes for presentation, 5-10 minutes for discussant's comments, and 20 minutes for open discussion. The proposals shall clearly link to scientific research and/or innovative practice and should be linked to conference themes. We are, however, open for innovative ideas – please contact us if you wish to organise your symposium using a different format.
  • Poster: The poster size is A0 maximum (84.1 cm x 118.9 cm PORTRAIT size). We kindly ask the authors to be present during their allocated poster session slot and to prepare a 2-3-minute presentation of their poster. If the poster is in French, German, or Spanish, it must also contain a summary in English. We also recommend preparing A4 handouts. A poster may present work in progress. The proposals shall be of a high scientific level and/or innovative practice and should be linked to the conference themes

All proposals must be submitted in English and will be reviewed by two members of the scientific committee. Paper sessions, workshops, symposia and posters may be held in English, French, German, or Spanish, but the organisers cannot provide simultaneous translation.

Please note that you may consider your proposal accepted for the conference once you have received 1) a notice of approval from the Scientific Committee and 2) a confirmation of receipt of the conference registration fee payment from the conference secretariat (early bird rate will be applied to accepted contributors).

This year’s conference themes enable contributors from a variety of different scientific and practice backgrounds to present their work. Submissions on other topics from all fields of career development and career guidance are also welcome.
