SELVYYDEN VUOKSI voidaan käyttää OF-genetiiviä:

2. OF-genetiivi
käytetään asioista, elottomista olioista:
talon katto: The roof of the house was leaking.
What is the name of the game? = Mikä on pelin henki?

kirjan kansi: the cover of the book

selvyyden vuoksi:
the complete works of William Shakespeare = William Shakespearen kootut teokset

joskus käytetään adjektiivia genetiivin sijasta:
Ranskan suuri vallankumous: the French revolution
Suomen lippu: the Finnish flag
englannin kieli: the English language

keittiönpöytä: I left the money on the kitchen table.
Suomen tasavalta: the Republic of Finland
Lahden kaupunki: the City of Lahti
