Ella Mattila toimii Tiedon jäljillä -projektissa tutkijatohtorin roolissa. Mattila työskentelee osana Jyväskylän tiimiä työpakettien 2, 3 ja 4 parissa, ottaen vetovastuuta erityisesti opetussuunnitelmiin sekä tulevaisuuteen suuntaaviin tietokeskusteluihin paneutuvissa osatutkimuksissa. Mattilan tutkimukselliset kiinnostuksen kohteet suuntautuvat opettajankoulutuksen, alkuperäiskansatutkimuksen sekä (de)koloniaalisten näkökulmien kysymyksiin. Näistä kriittisen tutkimuksen lähtökohdista hän lähestyy myös projektin keskiössä olevia korkeakoulutuksen tiedon käsityksiä ja mahdollisuuksia. 

Ella Mattila (she/her) works as a postdoctoral researcher on the Tracing Knowledge project. Mattila joins the Jyväskylä team on work packages 2, 3 and 4, taking the lead particularly on substudies focusing on university curricula and conceptions of knowledge for the 'unknown future'. Mattila’s main research interests have focused on teacher education, indigenous studies and (de)colonial perspectives. She applies these critical research perspectives when examining the tensions, conceptualisations and futures of higher education knowledge at the heart of this project.
