Insights, Course 5

Now we're getting technical. This course is all about technology and science. You'll get to predict the future and understand different kind of phenomena through a scientific perspective.

Materials: Insights 5 & Grammar Rules + key

Grammar: infinitive/that/-ing, words of quantity, numbers & expressions of time

Writing exercices: a summary (p.124-125) deadline 18th March & an essay of 700-1300 characters deadline 1st Apr (p.128-129)

Vocabulary tests: glossaries on p.20 (traffic), p.32 (psychology) & text 3 (the ubiquitous woman)

Course exam: grammar (p.130-169), reading comprehensions & listening comprehensions and an essay

Evaluation: The course exam will be 70% of your course grade and the vocabulary tests 30 %. Class participation can raise your grade at best by one.

NB. Missing deadlines will affect your course grade at worst by -1, so use a calendar and reminders to keep you on track.
