Marbledale News exclusive: Prank gone wrong; dozens of sheep dead

A local wolf attacked and slaughtered a local sheep herd. Earlier this morning the wolf had sneaked into midst of sheep herd near Marbledale plains. The boy assigned to watch the herd of sheep failed to get help from the experienced adults of the Marbledale. During the past few weeks, he had pranked the villagers several times. The villagers no longer believing in the validity of the boy's distress calls decided not to assemble to repeal the supposed wolf.

The boy however, managed to escape relatively unharmed from the wolf, although the villagers who owned the sheep gave him a stern lecture and a claim for damages. We interviewed the village's angry blacksmith, Tatum Sheppard Pitfield, about the incident. "That darned boy not only shocked us twice with his frivolous shenanigans, but caused massive losses to the small and fragile economy of our village. He ought to compensate us for the trouble he caused." We hope the unlucky boy will learn from his past mistakes and fix the damage caused by the disaster.
