#7 Älypuhelin tiedonhaussa
Sosiaalinen media
Using social media
Remember, you can also use social media tools to find out about current research or publications. Many researchers, activists and public figures use their Twitter, SlideShare or LinkedIn profiles to discuss their views or announce their work. For example, by searching for #twitterstorians on Twitter you can find links to historians talking about their work or findings.
As with search engines, you should be aware that just because something is published online in some format, you should carefully evaluate how useful it is and whether the information it tells you is well-informed and free of bias. Social media platforms can be a great way to explore a topic, but remember to use your critical skills when assessing the materials you find. You will learn more about this next week.
Search social media
Put @
in front of a word to search social media. For example: @twitter
.
Search hashtags
Put #

23. By 2020, half of all online searches will be voice-based queries.
This has been a widely quoted figure in the tech world over the last few years. Search engine usage stats already show that more than 20% of Google’s searches come from voice, and 31% of smartphone users worldwide use voice search at least once a week. All things considered, the 50% mark doesn’t seem as fantastic as it might have some time back.
