English is the official language in many countries and millions of people speak it as their mother tongue. About two billion people know English to some extent, and learning English is the best way to guarantee that also Finns can cope with people from other countries.

English is spoken in many different ways and it is important to understand different accents. During the lessons at our school pupils will get to know at least the following varieties of English and learn about the culture of the corresponding countries:
