Our school's first Erasmus+ job shadowing came true in Gemeinschaftsschule an der Saarschleife. Eija Parviainen and Anu Kurki visited the school at the end of May. The school has over 600 pupils and there are classes from 5 to 10. The principal of the school is Georg Dillschneider. All the teachers were very friendly and they welcomed us to visit several lessons. It was interesting to see similarities and differences between German and Finnish school. We noticed that every student had an iPad which was used in all lessons. The mobile phones were forbidden during the lessons but allowed during breaks. The students spent their breaks outside. Peace in the classroom was very good and the students followed the teachers' instructions.



Our tutor teachers had made a full program for our visit. We spent the days at school and we had many interesting discussions with school staff and students. In the evenings we had nice progmram with the German teachers. We saw several attractions and had an opportunity to visit Metz (in France).

This job shadowing was very rewarding experience for us and it exceeded our expectations. We hope to continue our cooperation with the Gemeinschaftsschule an der Saarschleife in the future.
