The Easter party

The Folk music building’s Easter party

Salla, Emppu and I decided to throw an Easter party at the Folk music house. We threw the party for our class 5d. In the program were an Easter egg hunt and a kantele museum exhibition. The folk music house is located in Palokka. It is a 150 year old concert house. It used to be a grain storehouse where grain was bought and sold.

We were at the house arranging the party when suddenly we noticed that the Easter eggs were gone. Oh no. What are we going to do? We searched the whole building but we didn’t find them. We were terrified because the party was later that same day. We went to search in the kantele museum and there we noticed that the kanteles were missing too. They were there this morning. We searched again through the whole house but we didn’t find the Easter eggs or the kanteles. We thought that all hope was gone but we still kept looking. We asked passing Easter witches have they seen anything but they ran away shouting, “Help, crazy people!” Then we went back to the house to look at the surveillance tapes. We saw a suspicious looking person creeping to the door carrying a kantele under his arm. We called the police. The police came and we gave them the thief’s description: a blue shirt, blue jeans, short hair and he himself quite short. “Ok.” said the police. “We found the thief.” And they threw Emppu into the police car. “Hey. Emppu isn’t the thief!” We shouted, but the police were already driving away. Salla and I headed towards the police station by bike. We explained to the police that Emppu was not the thief even though the description fit her. Emppu was released.

In an hour the police called us and said that they have found the thief and were returning the kanteles to the Folk music house. But the Easter eggs were still missing. We asked the owner of the kantele museum, Kari Dahlblom, has he seen them. “Oh, the chocolate eggs which were in the café’s cupboard? I got hungry so I ate them.” said Kari. “All 20!?” we asked in amazement. “But what are we going to do? The party starts in half an hour.” we wondered. “Let’s go buy some from Prisma.” said Salla. We went to Prisma and then the party started. The party went smoothly and everyone received an Easter egg.
