History of the Teerimäki

Former schoolcenter was built in 1953 at the beginning of the year. It is an old villa. In the house, lived an old Kamreemi. In this case, the place was named Teerimäki, referring to the house in the old days, because black grouses lived there. The grouses were kept and treated in iron cages, then they were released when spring came. Teerimäki was renovated to a daycare. One hundred years ago, a the Jokioinen museum railway was built, next to which was built his house, that was named Hongista. Karl Fazer could not afford to keep it, so he sold it. Baron Mannerheim upgraded the manor into a new direction but got caught in Russian policy. An old lodge served the town hall until December of 1952. A new central primary school. The old building has had a long history.
