Make a 6X6 grid with chalk outside. You can use a meter stick or just free hand. Randomly put the 26 letters of the alphabet (all uppercase or lowercase). The 10 extra spaces are free spaces.


- Practice going through the alphabet from A to Z.
- Can you use the ABC board to spell your name?
- Jump onto all the vowels (A, E, I, O, U).
- Use the ABC board to practice your weekly spelling words, or words you know, like 'stop.'
- When creating the board, encourage your child to write the letters with you.

Letter Walk Game
Write the letters around the edge of a paper plate. When students see the letter outside (in a sign or on a license plate, for example), they fold back the letter. Some letters may be harder to find (like Q or X)... encourage students to have patience and to look EVERYWHERE!
