Sarah had to be at the airport for her flight at 9am, but her alarm didn't go off and she overslept. If she 1. had not overslept / hadn't overslept(ei olisi nukkunut pommiin (oversleep)) she 2. would not have been / wouldn't have been(ei olisi ollut) in a hurry. At the airport she realised she had left it on the kitchen table. When she arrived back at the airport, she saw that she had missed her flight. Sarah 8. could have bought / could've bought(olisi voinut ostaa) a ticket for the next flight but then she 9. would have had to spend(olisi pitänyt käyttää) another five hundred pounds. She decided to leave the airport and go to a bookshop near her house. She was so preoccupied with her difficult morning that she walked out of the shop without paying and was arrested by the police. The police detained her for three hours, and if the shop owner 10. had not believed / hadn't believed(ei olisi uskonut) her, she 11. could have stayed / could've stayed(olisi saattanut jäädä) there for quite a long time. Sarah went home and decided never to fly again!
